For the past 15 years, I’ve taught in low-income, high-income, and everything-in-between school districts. I’ve worked with all kinds of students, but I tend to gravitate toward the quirky ones—the ones who think outside the box, challenge expectations, and keep things interesting.

I love learning. Learning about the brain, new teaching strategies, and ways to make learning more engaging. I’m big on storylines, 5E-style lessons, and SEL.

But somewhere along the way—between COVID, endless new responsibilities, and the constant pressure on teachers—I lost touch with my creativity. It got buried under paperwork, mandates, and exhaustion.

Then I met ChatGPT—and suddenly, I felt like I had a new lease on teaching. AI gave me back the ability to brainstorm, create, and problem-solve in a way that felt fresh and exciting. It didn’t replace my work—it enhanced it, streamlined it, and made room for the fun stuff again.

I’m a full-time teacher, full-time mom, full-time wife, and full-time human just trying to survive, grow, and rediscover what made me love teaching in the first place.
