Sometimes your thoughts are racing faster than your fingers can keep up, and before you know it, you're stuck trying to type out a brilliant idea that’s already halfway out the door. But what if you could just talk and let AI do the heavy lifting? With speech-to-text and a little AI finesse, you can turn your stream of consciousness into clear, polished writing—without the struggle.
First, activate speech-to-text.
On a Mac, press Fn (Globe key) twice to turn on Dictation. If it’s not enabled, go to System Settings > Keyboard > Dictation and switch it on.
If you're on Windows, press Windows key + H, and you’re good to go. Open a Google Doc or any text editor, start speaking, and let your words flow.
Here’s an important tip: don’t stress about saying "period" or "next line." It’s totally fine if your speech-to-text spits out one giant, punctuation-free mess—AI can handle it.
Grammar, structure, formatting? That’s what it’s here for. Just talk, let it all out, and worry about cleaning up later.
Now, let AI do its thing. Copy your spoken text into your favorite AI tool and type: "Improve the readability of this while keeping the words, concepts, and structure." Hit enter, and like magic, your rambling turns into something clear and professional. No more losing ideas while fumbling at the keyboard—just say it, let AI refine it, and keep the creativity flowing.
